Register Project Loon as
A project independent of the Google X laboratory, usually means that Alphabet believes that the experimental technology or product is mature enough to be commercialized. Alphabet gives independent subsidiaries more freedom to pursue their own business goals. But at the same time, these subsidiaries will also encounter financial pressures to be taken as an independent company.
Google has previously said it believes that the Project Loon project will someday become a $one billion business. So far, however, Google has successfully deployed its Internet hot air balloon in Sri Lanka, Peru and Puerto Rico.
